I wish I could use the same transportation they do... I would just love to experience that ride... (if you've seen it you know what I'm talking about right?)
Hey there.
I'm sorry that it's been a couple of weeks since the showcase already! (or has it been longer?) I hope it was as memorable an experience for the people who came to see it as it was for me.
I'm happy that it made the kind of impression I had intended to make.
We had quite a crowd (more than we'd expected, actually) and apparently, much more excitement than we'd expected---the film crew standing among the audience carrying small video cameras were pushed up towards the stage so much that most of the footage they were able to record were close-ups of me or barely my full height. The original aim was to capture the size of the entire stage. So, that might be a bit of a disappointment for anyone who was hoping for a release of the footage... but hey, the excitement was a good thing!(come on guys!**)
I sincerely hope that I'll get a chance to take it on the road in the near future to share it with more people (...in environments where we can film it properly!)
It was great that I got to invite a bunch of my fans to the event and see them backstage after the show. Although we couldn't spend that much time backstage, it's pretty rare for me to have such close contact with fans (unless somebody notices me outside somewhere). It was really touching. Thanks again for coming... whether it was from nearby, or pretty darn faraway!
Just one more thing...
I've heard some negative comments about my Japanese staff during those after-showcase hours, but I just want to defend them on that matter... I don't think they intended to come across too uptight or mean. They're great and I'm very lucky they care about my well being as much as they do. Naturally, they care about the well being of my fans too, and do their best to watch out for danger at the same time---I mean, in the past they've experienced situations where I was very nearly attacked by armed stalkers and by really rather insane people, most of those happening during or after concerts (...don't know why! maybe it's the excitement!)
They might have seemed out of sync with the American staff, but that's because they belong to two totally separate companies. Maybe it's also a cultural difference, because a lot of the observations seem to have come from American fans. If it weren't for them, the greetings after the show probably would've taken much longer and I might have kept my guests waiting very long.
I just wanted to say that they're really nice, well meaning people (they're probably younger than you think they are) and I trust them a lot, so we're sorry if any of our mannerisms came across as rude or uptight! Wow that became so much longer than I'd planned! I just had to say this!
Well then! Good nighty :)
